Job summary

The State of South Carolina, Office of Mental Health, seeks a Mental Health Professional I to provide school-based counseling across Lexington County schools. You will assess patients, provide individual/family/group therapy, crisis intervention, and collaborate with school partners under supervision.

Requires a master's degree in counseling or related field and SC licensure or eligibility; travel to multiple schools is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or related field.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in SC.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, individual, family & group therapy, and crisis intervention.
• Participate in clinical supervision and treatment team meetings; pursue professional development.
• Provide consultation and training on mental health issues to community partners (schools).
• Complete documentation according to QA/OMH standards and ensure timely prior authorizations.
• Complete annual trainings (Safety, MAPS, clinical trainings) and adhere to CARF/OMH policies.
