Poppy's Therapeutic Corner is seeking a licensed School Based Mental Health Therapist to diagnose, treat, and support youth in the school setting. Qualifications

• Ohio licensed mental health clinician (must be an LPC, LSW, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S, MFT).
• Licensed Interns are welcome.
• Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' mental health needs, including diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, and development of individualized treatment plans.
• Individual and Group Therapy: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students, both individually and in group settings, to address anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and social skills development.
• Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and intervention for students experiencing mental health crises, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, or emergencies, and collaborate with school staff and community resources to ensure safety and follow-up care.
• Collaboration and Consultation: Work with school personnel to support students' mental health needs within the school environment and provide consultation and staff training.
• Family Engagement: Engage with students' families to assess family dynamics and collaborate on treatment goals.
• Referral and Coordination: Coordinate referrals to external providers and facilitate communication between school-based and external resources.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain confidential records in compliance with standards.
• Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school-based mental health and related regulations.

• Referral and Coordination: Coordinate referrals to external mental health providers, community agencies, and other resources as needed, and facilitate communication and collaboration between school-based and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school-based mental health, evidence-based interventions, and relevant laws and regulations through ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and collaboration with colleagues.
