Job summary

Duluth Public Schools seeks a Mental Health Practitioner to support the Den Coordinator in processing student behaviors and meeting social, emotional, behavioral needs for high-need students at Denfeld High School.

Under supervision of mental health professionals, assist in implementing plan goals, de-escalation, and crisis intervention, while contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet mental health practitioner qualifications under MN statute.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education credentials with required supervised hours in mental health services for youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist Den Coordinator to process student behaviors and support social, emotional, behavioral needs.
• Support mental health professionals and teachers in implementing IEP/CLP goals under supervision.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation as trained.
• Document services and data as part of student plans.
