Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide daily nursing care for school age and preschool children. You will participate in agency activities and complete required documentation, while supporting safety, well‑being, and appropriate medical/dietary communication.

Responsibilities include documentation accuracy, teamwork with nursing staff, and participation in treatment teams. A NYS LPN license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and NYS Registration.
• Ability to lift and assist children in your care.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation is accurate, contemporaneous, and regulatory compliant.
• Promote and oversee safety and well‑being of children through procedures and awareness.
• Attend to personal and program needs that children cannot accomplish independently.
• Keep nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns.
• Provide support and consultation and initiate peer support among participants.
• Promote student input in the development of program activities.
• Oversee the safety and well‑being of the children.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Participate in team activities, meetings, trainings, and committees.
