Job summary

Effective School Solutions (ESS) is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to provide school-based services in Illinois. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, complete assessments, and support students’ academic and emotional success within school teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and staff, ongoing supervision, and professional development. A master’s degree, current state license, and 2+ years of pediatric school experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of service.
• 2+ years of experience with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional needs.
• Experience working with schools, families, and community-based services.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and EMR/Microsoft Office systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, plus intake and assessments.
• Partner with families to deliver student care and family support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention, coordinating referrals as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for students’ emotional/academic needs.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
