Job summary

The LPN functions under supervision from Clinic leadership and provides clinical support and technical assistance to the professional medical staff. Qualifications

• Current LA LPN License required
• 3-5 years of primary care experience in a clinical setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers with patient office visits including rooming patients, interviewing patients, and entering information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Obtain and record vital signs and recognize variances, red flags, and take action as needed.
• Administer and document medications under provider orders and follow the six medication rights to reduce errors.
• Perform point-of-care lab tests and process specimens for outside laboratories.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and ensure timely communication with patients.
