Job summary

Child and Family Agency in Connecticut seeks a School Based Health Center Clinician to provide outpatient psychotherapy to students within assigned schools. You will work with school staff to support the whole child, conducting assessments and implementing evidence-based treatment plans during school hours.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, and licensure or license eligibility (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current state licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC, or license eligibility.
  • Experience with assessment, DSM-5 diagnosis, and outpatient psychotherapy.
  • Experience working with an Electronic Health Record system, or strong computer skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred with significant pay differential offered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality individual, family and group psychotherapy to an established caseload of students in your assigned school.
  • Conduct assessment, diagnose, develop and follow evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Maintain a medical record utilizing an electronic health record system.
  • Support clients through dedicated case management.
  • Collaborate daily with school staff, forming effective working relationships.
  • Further the agency’s strategic mission of diversity, equity and inclusion by providing culturally and racially sensitive care.

SBHC Mental Health Clinicians are outpatient level treaters, providing individual, family and group psychotherapy to an established caseload of clients and families. Our staff work in school buildings Mondays through Fridays during the hours of school operation. No evening or weekend hours are required. CFA has a robust onboarding and initial training program. Weekly, high-quality supervision, support by internal content experts, and training in Evidence Based Practices are all part of CFA’s sincere commitment to Professional Development.

Salary: $58,000 annually. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred with significant pay differential offered.
