Cabarrus County School District Exceptional Children in Concord, North Carolina is seeking a Behavior Management Technician to support student behavior through intervention, assist teachers, and maintain student records under the supervision of the District Behavior Specialist.

The role requires an associate degree, two years of related experience, and CPI certification desirability. The position pays $19.19 to $30.71 per hour and reports to the District Behavior Specialist.

Qualifications

  • Two year Associate Degree or equivalent (minimum 48 college credit hours)
  • Two years relevant experience in mental health or education-related field
  • CPI Crisis Prevention & Intervention certification desirable
  • Direct experience in crisis intervention
  • Experience in implementing effective behavior management plans

Responsibilities

  • Removes students from situations to de-escalate using Crisis Intervention techniques
  • Assist in development and coordination of behavior management programs
  • Maintain logs of student progress and behavior
  • Provide social skills training as part of progress documentation
  • Attend meetings for EC students and assist with transitions and inclusion
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers and administrators on behavioral planning
