- Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments to identify the functions of challenging student behaviors
- Design individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs and goals
- Use evidence-based behavioral strategies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
- Collect and analyze student behavior data to monitor progress and modify interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, administrators, and parents to implement intervention plans consistently
- Train and support school personnel on behavior management, ABA principles, and strategies for behavioral challenges
- Monitor student progress, prepare reports, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
- Participate in IEP, Manifestation, and other school-related meetings
- Follow ethical guidelines and legal requirements, including IDEA and FERPA
- Travel between school buildings and work across the Greater Philadelphia area
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment and intervention strategies, including ABA principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, families, and school staff
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing special education and behavior analysis services in schools
- Knowledge of assistive technology and augmentative communication systems
- Experience using data collection software and behavior tracking systems
- Training or certification in crisis intervention and behavior management techniques
- Master's degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (PA)
- Experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA) and developing behavior intervention plans (BIP)
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a school setting
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team in an educational or clinical setting
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to manage and respond to challenging behavior from students
- Willingness to travel between school buildings and anywhere in the Greater Philadelphia area
- Valid Driver's License, proof of registration and insurance
- CPR certification when required
- Current or clearable required state and federal background checks and relevant clearances
- Additional certifications may be required by the PA accreditation body and/or school
