Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to provide clinical support and patient care at McHenry County High Schools. Hours are school-dependent, typically early afternoons and Saturdays when required, with supervision from a physician.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in athletic training (if graduated after July 1, 2020); Bachelor’s degree (if graduated before July 1, 2020).
• BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Uses organizational and unit/department resources efficiently.
• Manages work schedule efficiently, completing tasks and assignments on time.
• Contributes to opportunities and processes for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates evidence-based treatment planning and adjusts plans per guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility over Athletic Training under supervision, from initial contact to outcomes.
• Completes daily notes reflecting patient response to treatment and status.
