Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp Athletics in South Bend, Indiana is seeking an Assistant Activities Leader for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports running athletics and recreation programs and coordinating with teachers, parents, athletes, and administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Coaching experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and AED training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing activities to increase sport and recreation options.
  • Coordinate with district athletics and secure additional help as needed.
  • Build relationships with middle/high school athletic leadership.
  • Communicate facility use and maintenance needs with engineering and Buildings & Grounds.
  • Recruit coaches when necessary.
  • Help manage athletic site and infrastructure during the school year.
  • Fundraise for and manage athletics department budget with admin approval.
  • Run parent meetings and communicate updates to parents.
  • Help recruit, develop and maintain student-athletes; support academics.
  • Manage paperwork for communication and reporting.
