The YMCA of Rock River Valley at Harlem Community Center in Machesney Park, IL is seeking a School-Age Group Leader to guide and mentor school-age children in after-school and camp programming. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment and implementing activities that support youth development.
The position is part-time (1:45–5:45 pm, Monday–Friday where applicable), up to 25 hours per week, with compensation at $17 per hour.

YOUR IMPACT
The School-Age Group Leader is a dedicated and enthusiastic individual responsible for guiding and mentoring a group of children in school age programs- like before and after school and camp programing. Reporting to the Vice President of Youth Development and working closely with the Site Lead, the Group Leader plays a key role in implementing engaging, educational, and recreational activities that support the development of youth. This position requires a commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, fostering positive relationships with participants, parents, and school staff. Regardless of primary assignment, this position may be required to travel between program sites as needed.

Regardless of primary assignment, this position may be required to travel between sites as needed.
