Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. This role supports the before and after school program with morning and afternoon sessions, following the school calendar, and opportunities for either or both.

The position emphasizes safe, engaging activities, positive role modeling, and teamwork with families and other staff. Requires 18+, HS diploma, 1 year experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of communicable diseases including TB.
• Warm, friendly, upbeat with strong people skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program/host policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance and staffing duties.

PAY RATE:

$13.50 - $15.00 per hour

SCHEDULE:

Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Afternoon Program: 3:05 PM-6:05 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Position Responsibilities

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
