Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Bio-Med Science Academy in Ravenna, OH. The role follows the school calendar with an afternoon shift from 2:25 PM to 6:00 PM for the 2026–2027 year.

The position is part-time, non-exempt with a pay rate of $14.50 per hour. Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds while engaging with children in a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, arts, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies, and support operations such as attendance and staffing.
• Assist with attendance, registration, and related program tasks as needed.

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
