Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Townsend Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with an afternoon shift from 2:45 - 5:15 pm and offers $16.00 per hour plus employer-paid childcare benefits. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children and will support activities across fitness, STEAM, arts, and homework under a safe, engaging curriculum.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent OR 1 year experience with kids
• Background clearance including TB
• Warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor with strong people skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift (up to 50 lbs) and keep up with children

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, group activities) and homework completion
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model
• Observe state guidelines and program policies
• Support program operations including attendance, registration, and staffing

Position Responsibilities

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
