Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Site Director for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 year. You will lead a dynamic program with STEAM, fitness, arts, and homework support, while ensuring compliance and a safe, engaging environment for children ages 5–12.

You’ll manage daily attendance, parent communication via the Playground App, and liaise with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Education/experience aligned with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations and program leadership expectations.
• Supervision of staff and students with strong behavior management.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, attendance, and documentation onsite.
• Engagement in program activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support) and safe playground oversight.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Licensing Leadership: ensure PA DHS/OCDEL compliance and audit readiness.
• Program & Staff Leadership: lead activities, supervise children and staff, maintain safe ratios.
• Operations & Communication: oversee attendance, registration, scheduling, and school-family liaison duties.
• Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support).
• Actively supervise children and staff, including playground oversight.
• Maintain safe staff-to-child ratios and strong behavior management.
• Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling.

Job description

LOCATION:

Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA

PAY:

$20.00–$22.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

SCHEDULE

• Morning Program: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
• Afternoon Program: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Bachelor's Degree including 30 credit hoursin Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 3 years of experience working with children under 13.
• Associate's Degree including 30 credit hoursin Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 4 years of experience working with children under 13.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
