Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our After School Program at William J. Christian School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part‑time, non‑exempt role follows the school calendar with hours from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will lead hands‑on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, model positive behavior, and coordinate attendance, registration, and staffing while communicating smoothly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with children in school or after-school programs.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus.
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing helpful but not required.
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
• Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
• Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
