Qualifications

  • 3–10 years of management experience in multi-site or multi-location operations.
  • Background in youth development, K–12 education, or related field.
  • Proven track record leading teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience managing external institutional relationships (district, government, or similar partners).
  • Strong financial acumen; comfortable managing budgets and analyzing performance data.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Early Childhood Education or related field a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing & Leadership: Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development of regional field leaders; set clear expectations and maintain consistent communication.
  • Payroll, Labor, & Scheduling: Ensure staffing levels meet ratios and manage labor costs; review timecards and payroll accuracy.
  • Enrollment & Program Quality: Drive regional enrollment goals; coach underperforming sites and monitor family engagement.
  • State Licensing Compliance: Ensure sites maintain current licensing and credentials; monitor safety and regulatory updates.
  • District Partnerships: Serve as primary contact for district partners; support contract renewals and community engagements.

Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 annually

Reports To: Executive Director

Direct Reports: Multi-Site Directors, Site Directors, Program Site Staff

Job Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. About The Role

The Regional Director owns everything that happens across their region. They build and lead a team of field leaders, drive execution and accountability toward achieving enrollment goals, hold every site to state licensing standards, and serve as Healthy Kids Programs’ primary point of contact with school districts at the leadership level. This is a high‑accountability, high‑visibility role for someone who thrives on building teams and managing complexity across multiple states.

What Success Looks Like
  • Staffing: Sites are staffed with qualified, engaged employees, turnover is managed effectively, and future leaders are being developed.
  • Enrollment: Regional enrollment goals are met or exceeded, with consistent accountability and follow‑through.
  • Compliance: Sites remain compliant with state licensing requirements and inspection ready.
  • District Partnerships: District leaders view HKP as a trusted partner, with contracts renewing and expanding and concerns addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Leadership
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development of regional field leaders.
  • Set clear expectations and maintain consistent communication.
  • Address performance concerns and partner with HR on escalated matters.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline and regional culture aligned with HKP’s mission and values.
Payroll, Labor, & Scheduling
  • Ensure staffing levels meet required ratios while managing labor costs effectively.
  • Review timecards and monitor payroll for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support effective scheduling, minimize unnecessary overtime, and communicate changes proactively.
  • Ensure payroll and scheduling systems are used accurately and consistently.
Enrollment & Program Quality
  • Drive regional enrollment goals and respond to performance trends.
  • Provide coaching and operational support to underperforming sites.
  • Monitor re-enrollment and family engagement.
  • Partner with marketing and registration teams on enrollment efforts.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate program quality, engagement, and compliance.
State Licensing Compliance
  • Ensure all sites maintain current state licensing and required credentials.
  • Monitor compliance with ratios, records, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
  • Respond to licensing concerns and agency inquiries promptly.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and communicate updates to field leaders.
  • Maintain a culture of consistent compliance.
District Partnerships
  • Serve as a primary leadership contact for district-level partners.
  • Build and maintain strong district relationships.
  • Address concerns and escalations professionally and promptly.
  • Support contract renewals and expansions.
  • Represent HKP at district meetings, board presentations, and community events as appropriate.
Requirements
