Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at North Park Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role runs in line with the school day at Hyde Park, NY, with options for morning and/or afternoon sessions. The position emphasizes safety, engaging activities, and positive role modeling for children aged 5–12.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:25 am

Afternoon Program: 3:25 - 6:00 pm

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
