Job summary

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Scheduling Specialist in its Otolaryngology unit. The role requires strong phone etiquette, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail as you schedule patient appointments.

1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly) with shift Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, onsite training in La Crosse, WI, and remote eligibility after training. Benefits include 401(k) with matching, PTO, health insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

The Scheduling Specialist works directly with patients and is responsible for accurately scheduling appointments.

Job Details

• 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly)
• Shift: Monday-Friday, Primary hours between 8am-5pm
• Location: La Crosse, WI for onsite training
• Remote eligible after training
• Department: Otolaryngology

What you will do:

Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients through providing the best first/last impressions with top level customer service.

Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.

Provide customer service to patients by helping schedule appointments.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• 1 year experience in an office setting requiring customer service responsibilities
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Medical terminology and healthcare experience is a plus!
