Job summary

CTG is seeking a Scheduling Migration SME / Senior IMS Systems Programmer for a remote, ongoing contract role. You will migrate to IBM Z Workload Scheduler, analyze and replace batch schedulers, and monitor workloads with ISPF and Dynamic Workload Console.

Require 5+ years mainframe experience (OS/390 or z/OS) and IBM Z WLS expertise; strong TSO/ISPF and JCL skills are essential. Excellent English communication is needed.

• 5+ years of IBM Z Workload Scheduler experience.
• Experience migrating mainframe scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
• Strong TSO/ISPF editing and JCL experience.
• Open systems scheduling experience is a plus.

Experience

• Experience with other mainframe scheduling platforms such as CA-7, CA-ESP, and BMC Control-M.
• Basic z/OS system programming knowledge is advantageous.
• Open systems scheduling experience with Windows, UNIX, or Linux is a plus.
• Project management or technical pre-sales experience is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $110.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
