Fortis Construction, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Scheduling Manager to oversee and manage project scheduling processes. Responsibilities include leading scheduling sessions, monitoring project progress, and developing cost-loaded schedules. Candidates must have at least 8 years of construction scheduling experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera.
This position will involve collaboration with project teams and construction site visits. The role requires a valid driver’s license and may involve some travel.
The primary responsibility of the Scheduling Manager is to direct, oversee, and manage the processes, activities, and expectations for the overall competency of project scheduling. This includes creation of best practices, tools, and templates for use by other project leaders and schedulers. The Scheduling Manager may also prepare and manage the master project plan for one or more job‑sites, including but not limited to schedule analysis, variance reporting, resource loading, and cost loading. A successful Scheduling Manager works closely with project stakeholders to understand scheduling scope and complexity to assist the scheduler in choosing the right tools and templates for the project. They manage the activities of one or more schedulers, including completion of employee evaluations and development plans. The Scheduling Manager provides support and training in the use of project and scheduling software to office and jobsite team members. The Scheduling Manager also participates as needed in creating a schedule for all components and phases of a project with a clear critical path to ensure timely project completion.
Work is performed in a professional office environment. The role is stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing is required. May occasionally push, pull or lift up to 25 lbs.
