The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $18.98 - $23.01 per hour. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including, but not limited to, prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.
Under direct supervision, responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests efficiently and timely. Answers all incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical staff. May include outside scheduling and/or surgical scheduling responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum five years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required. Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
Work may require sitting for long periods; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be normal for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods.
