Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Utilize scheduling software to track and report on project timelines and deadlines.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts and develop proactive solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for multiple projects.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to prevent delays.
  • Ensure all scheduling aligns with project budgets, contracts, and client expectations.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements of work in the preparation and acceptance of usable baseline schedules for construction.
  • Works closely with project team (project managers, superintendents, project engineers) to ensure that schedule information is communicated to the parties doing the work.
Required Qualifications

(Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • 5+ years of experience required (at a minimum) on small to mid-size jobs or experience supporting a project scheduler.
  • Ability to perform a monthly schedule update and run a CPM schedule is required.
  • Experience in heavy civil, structures, transit, or transportation construction is required.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6/Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task daily issues with longer-term tasks.
  • Able to work to set deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Driver’s License is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree (preferred) or alternative field exposure/experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • 3+ years of heavy civil construction is preferred.
  • Time Impact Analysis, Delay Mitigation, Acceleration Schedule exposure will define top candidates.
  • Able to receive feedback on work product, and work with a team or autonomously.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Patience and a calm demeanor with leadership skills or a strong desire to develop them is preferred.
  • The ability to explain things effectively and gather information is preferred.
