Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Scheduler to develop, maintain, and communicate schedules for large-scale data center and infrastructure projects.

The role partners with project management, field operations, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and customers to deliver realistic execution plans and provide schedule visibility through the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, 5+ years scheduling experience,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of scheduling or project controls experience.
  • Experience developing schedules for data center, industrial, or large EPC projects.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • PMI-SP/PSP/PMP preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules for data center and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish WBS, sequencing, milestones, and schedule logic.
  • Review plans, subcontractor schedules, procurement activities to develop schedules.
  • Monitor progress, analyze schedule performance, identify delays, risks, and recovery opportunities.
  • Prepare schedule updates, dashboards, progress reports, and performance analyses.

Position Overview

As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and communicating project schedules supporting large-scale data center and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project management, field operations, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and customers to develop realistic execution plans and provide schedule visibility throughout the project lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in project success by identifying schedule risks, supporting recovery planning, evaluating progress, and ensuring project teams have the information necessary to make informed decisions. Success requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and the ability to translate complex project activities into actionable scheduling strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules throughout planning, preconstruction, execution, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish work breakdown structures, sequencing strategies, milestones, and schedule logic.
  • Review project plans, drawings, subcontractor schedules, procurement activities, and execution strategies to develop comprehensive project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, analyze schedule performance, and identify potential delays, risks, and recovery opportunities.
  • Support schedule updates, forecasting efforts, look-ahead planning, and executive reporting activities.
  • Provide schedule-related insights and recommendations that support successful project delivery.
What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain schedules supporting hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to validate schedule assumptions and project sequencing.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk evaluations, resource planning reviews, and progress assessments.
  • Support construction, procurement, commissioning, and turnover planning efforts to ensure milestone achievement.
  • Prepare schedule updates, executive dashboards, progress reports, and project performance analyses.
  • Assist project teams in developing mitigation and recovery plans when schedule impacts arise.

What It Takes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline and 5+ years of scheduling, project controls, construction, or project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules for data center, industrial, mission-critical, infrastructure, EPC, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement workflows, commissioning activities, resource planning, and project execution strategies.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; familiarity with pull planning, Lean Construction methodologies, and schedule risk analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to perform critical path analysis, earned value evaluations, schedule forecasting, and progress assessments.
  • Experience working with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and customers in complex project environments.
  • Experience developing baseline schedules, recovery schedules, schedule updates, and executive reporting packages.
  • Knowledge of project controls, cost management, and construction operations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.
  • Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), PMI-SP, PMP, or similar industry certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and support onsite project assignments as required.
