Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years scheduling with Primavera or similar tool preferred.
• SAP planner experience in petrochemical maintenance necessary.
• Experience as maintenance craftsperson/technician in fitter/boilermaker/welder, machinist/millwright, or instrument/electrical/analyzer in a petrochemical/refining env. will be considered.
• Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; able to manage conflicting priorities.
• Self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Proficient in SAP, Windows applications, and e-mail; stay current with maintenance practices and technology.
• Adapts to procedures, processes and techniques to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedules planned maintenance activities for daily and weekly work and allocates manpower and materials.
• Constructs schedules using production inputs and resource lists to maximize efficiency.
• Leads negotiations to prioritize work and optimize resources.
• Verifies compliance with work processes and procedures; resolves issues.
• Forecasts additional maintenance resources and provides input for future jobs.
• Solicits feedback on completed work and implements improvements.

The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing daily and weekly maintenance work schedules and arranging manpower and materials that are required for our maintenance work plans. This function is critical to the success of the Maintenance and Operations Work Process (MOWP).

A Day in the Life

• Schedules planned maintenance activities for LyondellBasell and resident contract personnel for both daily maintenance and maintenance outages.
• Utilizes a list of required work provided by production (PMC) and the list of available maintenance resources to construct daily and weekly schedules that fully utilizes the resources available in the most efficient way possible.
• Leads negotiations when necessary to ensure priorities are met and resources are continually optimized.
• Verifies work process and procedure compliance while resolving issues.
• Provides input to the PMC/Maintenance Manager for scheduled jobs in advance and forecasts any additional maintenance resources needed.
• Solicits feedback on executed jobs and then makes necessary changes to ensure work efficiencies continue to improve.

You Bring This Value

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of prior scheduling with Primavera or similar scheduling tool preferred.
• SAP planner experience in support of petrochemical maintenance process, and/or a minimum five (5) years’ experience as a maintenance craftsperson/technician in at least one of three primary skill areas (fitter/boilermaker/welder, machinist/millwright, or instrument/electrical/analyzer) in a petrochemical or refining environment will be considered.
• Must have good negotiation, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), organization, and interpersonal skills and the ability to make effective decisions and manage conflicting priorities.
• Must be self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Must have strong computer skills particularly in SAP, Windows applications, and e-mail.
• Must stay current with maintenance practices and technology.
• Adapts to procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish requirements of this position.
