Job summary

Methuen Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Scheduling professional to create and update critical path method schedules for multiple projects. This full-time onsite role reports to the Director of Scheduling and requires hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and cost/resource loading.

You will analyze project schedules, prepare time impact analyses, train staff in scheduling tools, and travel to project sites in the Northeast to provide scheduling support.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience in scheduling-related roles (Scheduler/PM/Engineer).
• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to learn or master new skills quickly is required.
• A degree in engineering, construction management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update construction project critical path method schedules.
• Perform work to ensure schedules are complete and accurate.
• Cost load schedules as required.
• Resource loading schedules; analyze and adjust resources as needed.
• Analyze schedules, tracking float, cost/resource curves, and change orders.
• Prepare time impact analyses.
• Collaborate with Director of Scheduling to improve scheduling practices.
• Produce diagrams, charts, and reports to support project teams.
• Provide training and technical support for scheduling software.
• Travel to project sites to provide scheduling support.
• Participate in scheduling portions of project reviews.

This position reports to the Director of Scheduling and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates. This is a full-time, salaried-exempt position.

Your Role

• Create and update construction project critical path method schedules


• Perform all work required to ensure that project schedules are complete and accurate


• Cost load schedules as required


• Resource loading schedules as required. Analyze resource loading and recommend schedule adjustments as appropriate


• Proactively analyze project schedules including comparing cumulative cost/resource curves to actuals, tracking float consumption, change order impact analysis, etc.


• Prepare time impact analyses


• Work with the Director of Scheduling to continually improve the Company’s scheduling methodology, best practices, and effectiveness


• Produce network logic diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports for all project schedules, as required, to support the project management teams


• Provide training and technical support for scheduling software


• Travel to individual projects, as required, to provide scheduling support


• Participate in the scheduling portion of Project Reviews as required


• Travel to project sites in order to train and assist with scheduling needs

Your Education and Experience

• Three or more years’ experience in the field, as a Scheduler, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or other relatable position


• Experience with Primavera P6


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required


• The ability to learn or master skills quickly is required


• A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred

Travel

Travel is primarily limited to Northeast jobsite locations. This position is ONSITE in Plaistow, New Hampshire when not traveling to assigned jobsites.
