Job summary

Parker Aerospace, part of Parker Hannifin Corporation, is seeking a Scheduler (Aerospace) at the Exotic Metals Forming Division in Phoenix. This role coordinates planning, scheduling, and inventory control to support fabrication of aerospace products, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal use of resources.

You will update systems, resolve conflicts, release work orders, and train team members while adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

  • Two years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment.
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning and shop floor control required.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, and inventory management functions to support fabrication of products in accordance with order fulfillment and stocking requirements.
  • Update production and inventory control system with information that is timely and accurate.
  • Stage and coordinate work in the area to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.
  • Coordinate and implement rework steps, W/O splits as required.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts between the shop and the business teams.
  • Release work orders based on the monthly rate plan from the planner and assemble the packets.
  • Train and assist less experienced employees.
  • Adhere to company safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.

Scheduler (Aerospace)

To coordinate and perform the planning, scheduling, job order and inventory management functions required to support fabrication of products in accordance with order fulfillment and stocking requirements.

  • Update the production and inventory control system with information that is timely and accurate.
  • Update team improvement boards and participate in daily problem solving
  • Stage and coordinate work in the area to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.
  • Coordinate and implement rework steps, W/O splits as required.
  • As a liaison, resolve scheduling conflicts between the shop and the business teams.
  • Initiate action required to resolve discrepancies in paperwork or system information to maintain work in process
  • (WIP) data accuracy.
  • Follow and audit the physical progress of materials or goods through manufacturing or other processing
  • departments. Report discrepancies to team.
  • Coordinate with other functional groups to develop and implement daily work schedules, short range capacity
  • plans and build plans.
  • Participate in team meetings to develop and implement plans to meet team goals such as; schedules, quality, cost,
  • etc.
  • Release work orders based on the monthly rate plan from the planner and assemble the packets.
  • Update routers and active W/C's with PAR's and or other requirements (Such as moving work due to a down piece of equipment)
  • Coordinate release of material/components to fill shortages for orders in work in process.
  • Work in conjunction with the planners for new parts procurement and/or processed parts requirements on a daily
  • basis for parts shortages and on request participate in long range planning meetings. Also, satisfy requirements
  • for aircraft on ground (A.O.G.) maintenance agreements and expedited jobs.
  • Train and assist less experienced employees.
  • Adhere to company safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
  • Two years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing
  • system environment or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning and shop floor control required.
  • Knowledge of AMAPS preferred.
  • Knowledge of A.P.I.C.S. concepts/principles preferred.
  • General understanding of manufacturing routings, travelers
  • and blueprints.
  • May be required to lift, up to 50 lbs.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Working Condition

Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, respirator, and rubber gloves as required.

Physical Requirements

Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
