Job summary

Hawaii Transfer Company, Ltd. is seeking a Driver Helper to operate a van or panel truck, transport freight from the warehouse to various delivery sites, and unload merchandise at each destination.

Applicants must have a Hawaii Type3 driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, and be comfortable with forklift operations, basic math, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Hawaii driver’s license required.
• Clean Hawaii driving history.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Forklift operations knowledge and pallet jack use.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Flexible schedule including overtime.
• Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask under minimal supervision.
• Adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van or panel truck to deliver freight from the warehouse to delivery sites.
• Transport freight or merchandise between the warehouse and delivery locations.

Job Description

• Driver Helper to drive van or panel truck and transport freight and/or merchandise from warehouse to various delivery sites.
• Knowledge in driving a van.
• Unloading of merchandise or freight at delivery site.

Job Requirements

• Possess valid Hawaii Driver’s License (Type3)
• Provide clean Hawaii Driver History Record
• Currently possess or able to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Knowledge of forklift operations – forklift certifiable, use of pallet jacks
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Perform basic math functions – add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Flexible work schedule (including overtime) to meet customer needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and determine priorities while under minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• At least 21 years old (bona fide occupational qualification)

Job Pay

$27.97 per hour
