Job summary

IPG seeks a Scheduler in our Operations department. You will schedule customer orders and forecasted demand to production equipment, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (Associates preferred), 5+ years in manufacturing planning, and proficient Microsoft Office skills. This is an on-site role with collaborative teams across manufacturing and logistics.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing planning / production scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Receives orders and schedules production to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and monitors target dates.
  • Provides product specifications sheets and identification labels.
  • Supports inventory evaluations, adjustments and general transactions.
  • Assists with other administrative tasks to support operations.
  • Works with supervisor on related tasks as needed.

Position Description

Title: Scheduler

Department: Operations

Status: Non-Exempt HourlyProfessional

Position Purpose: Schedules customer orders and forecasted demand to production equipment in efficient and timely manner to meet customer requirements and maintain inventory levels. Must understand specifications. interpret production schedules; and deal with inventory transactions that result in adjustments, receipts, consumptions, and/or transfers.

Principle Accountabilities
  • Receives orders for product and schedules production to meet customer order requirements. Requires being knowledgeable of production capabilities, inventory and target dates to produce product in the most efficient manner.
  • Provides specification sheets and identification labels for products produced.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Maintain system knowledge to properly support inventory evaluations, adjustments and general transactions.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks to support operations.
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Prefer Associate Degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in production and inventory control or planning strongly required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
  • Work environment is primarily office with some exposure to manufacturing areas as needed to perform job responsibilities.
