Job summary

Gray Construction in Lexington, KY is seeking a Construction Schedule Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in turnkey food and beverage manufacturing projects. The role requires expert knowledge of schedule logic, PFDs/P&IDs, and the ability to drive sequencing across design, procurement, fabrication and construction.

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera, have a bachelor’s degree, and be able to travel to jobsites as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide schedule preparation, communication, review, validation and interpretation during design, construction, commissioning and start-up of multiple manufacturing projects.
  • Ensure schedules are produced, maintained, updated and issued on a regular basis during the duration of the projects.
  • Monitor trends and alert management as to possible effects of those trends.
  • Required to travel to jobsites as necessary.

Who we want

A qualified scheduler with a minimum of 10 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree. Must understand the logic relationships between the various components of turnkey food and beverage manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of design, process design, procurement, processing, packaging, material handling and building systems. This candidate will need the ability to generate schedules using process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) as well as traditional construction documents. Once a general construction sequence is established, this candidate will need to possess the leadership skills to communicate and implement the approach across all project workstreams.

Must be technically capable and experienced in the use of the most recent version(s) of Microsoft Project and Primavera. Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, software and e-mail. The selected candidate will have excellent communication skills. Must be physically present in the Lexington office.

  • Responsible for monitoring trends and alerting management as to possible, both positive and negative, effects of those trends.
  • Required to travel to jobsites as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100K to 150K.
