Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC is seeking a hands-on laborer to operate splitter, grinders, saws, blasters, and tumbler in a busy manufacturing setting. The role requires forklift use, reliable attendance, and adherence to safety standards.

You will adjust equipment, feed materials, inspect blocks for quality, and support production lines while maintaining a clean, safe work area and coordinating with supervision. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• On‑job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
• Ability to operate splitter, cuber and any other equipment required to be performed.
• Production line experience preferred.
• Requires basic reading and writing skills.
• Basic mathematics and counting is required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional manner in dealing with employees and the public.
• Operation of mobile electronic equipment may be required.
• Forklift operation is required (Basalite Forklift Certification must be obtained).
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

• Stacking materials by hand as required.
• Checks blocks for proper quality (splits, cuts, grinding, blasting and tumbling).
• Forklift operation is required.
• Regularly meets with supervisor.
• Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of theSCG Supervisor, this position supports theSplitter/Cutter/Grinder/Blaster/Tumblerin all areas ofmanufacturing; is responsible for supporting and demonstrating theCore Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.
