Job summary

My Ride to Work, LLC. is seeking Truckee/Tahoe Transit Passenger Bus Drivers to operate in the Tahoe region, under a contract driver agreement with TART. The role is based in Truckee, CA and focuses on safe passenger transportation along designated routes.

Required are a valid Class A/B license with passenger endorsements, a VTT certificate, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. The company offers gas incentives and benefits after the probation period.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Class A or B driver's license with passenger endorsements and no air brake restrictions.
• Possession of a Verification of Transit Training (VTT) certificate issued by the California DMV or equivalent training to operate a public transit vehicle.
• Pass standard background and drug screen.
• Proven ability to bring professionalism to work and strong customer service.
• Proven track record of DOT and NTA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive a bus or transit vehicle on designated routes per schedules or dispatcher instructions.
• Transport passengers on field trips and to special events as assigned.
• Assist passengers entering/exiting; load and secure wheelchairs when needed.
• Provide schedule, route, and direction information to passengers and maintain order.
• Render emergency aid and conduct basic safety inspections before operation.
