Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. in Sunnyvale seeks a bright graduate to help drive the creation of simulation test scenarios for our AV tools. You will develop, curate, and expand scenario libraries while applying advanced features and metrics within scenarios.

This highly visible, collaborative role partners with Product, Engineering, and Sales to design scenarios across operating domains, define safety and comfort requirements, and create visualizations that reveal AV performance.

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

We are looking for bright graduates interested in driving the creation of simulation test scenarios used in Applied's suite of tools. In this technical and operational role, you will learn to develop relevant scenarios to add to our library, maintain and curate existing scenario sets, and perfect the application of advanced features and metrics within scenarios. This is a highly visible and collaborative role, where you will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Engineering, and Sales.

At Applied, you will:

• Design scenarios across a variety of operating domains showcasing the capabilities of Applied's simulation tools
• Define and implement safety and comfort performance requirements for scenarios
• Create data visualizations and reports for understanding AV performance and coverage
• Work closely with our product teams while using and providing feedback on core simulation functionality and usability
• Support customer teams in defining and building scenario libraries relevant for their specific operational design domains

We're looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university in Physics, Statistics, or related field graduating by December 2026
• Is a self-starter who takes initiative in a fast paced environment
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

• Internship, research, or project experience with autonomous vehicles, simulation, scenario creation, or testing
• Experience with triage, debugging, or analyzing issues in software or simulation environments
• Ability to code in a scripting language (e.g. Python) to automate workflows
