Responsibilities

• Walk the sales floor to check pricing of specials and displays and adjust discrepancies.
• Check signs, pre-priced items, sale items and other in-store specials.
• Check and investigate prior days scan right guarantee log.
• Verify all items brought in by vendors during the day by scanning items.
• Enter new items into the file and pull through the PC as needed.
• Check for price updates from the main office and update as needed.
• Establish and maintain the price change program on Thursdays to maximize store profits.
• Prepare and maintain a weekly scan right policy to minimize losses from inaccurate pricing.
• Perform scan audits according to schedule for timely total store auditing.
• Establish a program to maintain pricing integrity during insert or survey specials.
• Check dates of sale tags to determine price accuracy.
• Distribute discontinued sheets and upcoming specials to appropriate personnel.
• Establish and maintain an in-store policy that promotes communication between clerks and scanning coordinators.
• Enforce a front-end policy with cashiers to inform management of items not in file.
• Represent the store to sales representatives and vendors in a positive and professional manner.
• Conduct a total sign program that informs customers of our pricing integrity.
• Inform management of any problem areas in pricing or signs throughout the store.
• Greet customers and be observant.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide and maintain high standards of pricing integrity through the registers, as well as throughout the entire store. Responsible for ensuring that all products are accurately priced and tagged for customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• 1) Walk the sales floor to check pricing of specials and displays and make the appropriate changes if discrepancies are discovered.
• 2) Check signs and pre-priced items, sale items, and other in-store specials.
• 3) Check and investigate prior days scan right guarantee log.
