Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Scale Operator - Temporary in Mansfield, TX, to ensure smooth traffic flow at the scale and coordinate truck dispatch orders for efficiency. The role requires basic math, computer skills, and attention to detail, with potential Weigh Master licensing depending on state.

You will manage tickets, collect COD money, and maintain accurate records while supporting plant operations and maintaining a clean scale house environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Weigh Master License may be required in some states.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce customer tickets.
• Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy.
• Collects COD money and records it correctly.
• Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office daily.
• Transfers all files and tickets; transfers files at least twice daily.
• Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others when absent.
• Maintains product knowledge to answer customer questions.
• Performs housekeeping duties to keep the scale house clean and orderly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Provides timely and accurate tickets to customers ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scale, and assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computerto produce appropriate customer tickets.
• Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy.
• Collects COD money and properly records it.
• Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on daily basis.
• Transfers all files andtickets transfer files at least twice daily.
• Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others intheir absence.
• Tares trucks (empty weight) on weekly basis and records as appropriate as well as maintainsaccurate records of tons sold by product.
• Maintains product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions.
• Performs housekeepingduties to ensure that scale house is clean and orderly.
• Assists Plant employees as required.
