Job summary

Nucor in Louisville, KY is seeking a Scale Operator to weigh and purchase inbound scrap, collect required customer information, and complete purchasing and shipping documentation.

You will help control yard traffic, provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, and may back-up cashier responsibilities. Safety, teamwork, and adaptability are essential for success in this role.

The Scale Operator is responsible for accurately weighing and purchasing inbound scrap, obtaining required customer information, and completing purchasing and shipping documentation. This role also helps control traffic patterns in the yard, performs general office administration duties, and provides excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Control traffic patterns in the yard.

Preferred:

• 2 years of previous customer service experience.
• Scrap knowledge is a plus.
