Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Scale Operator for our Acorn Facility. The role requires leading a team, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining food safety compliance. You will handle data entry, use a scale and office equipment, and ensure timely paperwork.

We offer a full-time, on-site position with a competitive benefits package. Applicants must be US-authorized, able to pass post-offer screening, and willing to work overtime and some weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • General mathematical ability required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Operate production and office equipment (computer, email, scale, fax, 10-key calculator).
  • Complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and associates.
  • Must be able to work assigned days/shifts, including overtime and some weekends.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Pass drug and alcohol post-offer and prior to start of employment.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

This role is primarily responsible for assuring that all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while maintaining customer specifications. The position directs and leads a team of employees, ensures compliance with food safety programs, enforces Farmer Focus policies, and supports employee performance, development, safety, and work scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support employee performance development, safety, and work scheduling.
  • Enter data using a keyboard and operate production and office equipment, including fax machine, copier, 10-key calculator, scale, computer, and email.
  • Complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and on time.
  • Read and understand English to identify items on paperwork.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, while conducting oneself with professionalism with supervisors and associates.
  • Analyze and calculate data using basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Work assigned hours, including overtime and some weekends as required.
  • Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency while effectively using time and resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

Work is performed in a production environment and may require the use of production equipment and office equipment. The role requires availability to work assigned hours, including overtime and some weekends as needed. Team members must follow applicable safety, food safety, quality, and company procedures while completing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. This position does not have an application deadline. Farmer Focus will recruit until the role is filled.
