Job summary

Appalachian Aggregates, LLC, a CRH Company, is seeking an Administrative Support professional to perform a variety of field office tasks including weighing trucks, preparing load summaries, managing inventory and basic bookkeeping. You will handle payments, respond to customer inquiries, and assist with courier duties while ensuring accurate record keeping.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with 1–2 years related experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

  • One (1) year related experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

  • Weighing and ticketing trucks and preparing daily load summaries.
  • Managing inventory and basic typing/word processing.
  • Answering calls and performing light bookkeeping.
  • Courier duties and customer relations.
  • Maintaining payment collection procedures and adherence to policy.

Summary

This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of field office support functions including, but not limited to, the following: weighing and ticketing trucks, preparing daily load summaries, managing inventory, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, filing, answering calls, light bookkeeping, courier duties, and customer relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to manage a variety of projects and tasks at the same time
  • Must have the ability to work productively in a fast- paced environment
  • Will keep time and material records.
  • Develop knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
  • Must have knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
  • Will provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors
  • Will adhere to company policy regarding inventory and payment collection.
  • Will travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older

One (1) year related experience is preferred.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Ability to work various shifts

Valid Driver License - Must be able to travel for extended periods to locations in Mississippi

Must be detail oriented, highly organized and have the ability to work well with limited direction and supervision.
