Job summary

Luminous Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented associate for our landfill operations. The role involves handling cash transactions, collecting paperwork, and recording data into our systems while ensuring regulatory and company standards are met.

You will greet customers, verify loads for safety, and help maintain a safe, efficient scale house environment. It is a heavy industrial setting requiring weather exposure and strict PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years' cash handling and direct customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, account reconciliation, computer, and data entry skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Flexible to work off hours, weekends and holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic computer knowledge for work related purposes.
• Monday –Friday, with 1/2-day Saturday shift as needed.
• Bilingual is a plus.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Working conditions

Working conditions are normal for a heavy industrial scrap metal recycling environment. Working in this environment requires the use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to; hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility safety vest or clothing, gloves appropriate for the task, hearing protection, and steel toe work boots. As in most scrap metal recycling jobs, the environment can be loud/noisy and dusty. Most of the work in the non-ferrous division is done inside but outside work, exposed to all weather conditions, is to be expected. Subject to regular bending, twisting, reaching, working overhead, working above ground and/or on irregular surfaces.

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for long periods of time and sit or stand for extended periods of time. Position requires individual to: sit, bend at waist, twist upper body, stand, walk, and/or otherwise move
