Job summary

A global IT services firm is seeking a seasoned Scala Backend Developer to design scalable, secure systems. Candidates should possess over 7 years of relevant experience, especially with Scala programming and AWS. Knowledge of Agile methodologies is essential. This role emphasizes development using REST APIs and a strong understanding of Linux. Ideal candidates will also be open to learning NoSQL and Docker technologies.

Job Description

Must Have:

BS in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 7+ years in Scala server backend development in Services (not Data Analytics)
Solid experience and deep understanding of Scala programming, JVM, sbt.
Candidate should be willing to embrace Pure Functional Programming with Scala.
Development and Implementation of highly scalable, secure and concurrent software systems using HTTP, REST, WebServer, Caching, Resiliency, Responsive and Concurrency strategies
At least one Scala WebService SDK – Play , http4s , Spray or any other
REST APIs
Experience using Agile framework tools and methodologies.
Experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure (Preferred) or any other Cloud infrastructure.
Experience with Linux Operating Systems

Nice to Have: (These are nice to have. Candidate just needs some exposure/experience with any DB and willing to learn/adapt the NO SQL and Docker technologies)
