Job summary

Intellias ищет опытного backend-разработчика на Scala для разработки масштабируемых сервисов в автомобильной отрасли. В команде будете работать над API, распределёнными системами и обработкой событий, используя Akka/ Pekko, AWS и Docker.

Требуется минимум 3 года опыта на Scala, 8 лет в ПО, опыт Java, PostgreSQL, Kafka/Kinesis, CI/CD и микросервисной архитектуры. Работа удалённо с часовым перекрытием по CT в США; участие в Agile и возможна роль наставника.

Qualifications

It partners with a Fortune 100 industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units. The teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines for heavy equipment quoting, ordering, telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support.

Задачи:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala
• Build reliable event-processing, notification, and integration services
• Develop APIs and distributed system components in highly available environments
• Deliver scalable, fault-tolerant solutions that provide business value
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering decisions
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Support integration, acceptance, and quality assurance testing
• Maintain software quality through testing, reviews, documentation, and best practices
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence within the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Agile environments
• Own services throughout their lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and production support

Требования:

• At least 3 years of experience with Scala designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services and distributed systems in production
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, preferably with Java
• At least 3 years of experience building distributed systems using Akka (Streams, Actors, HTTP, Persistence) or Apache Pekko
• At least 3 years of experience with AWS
• Strong experience designing and operating event-driven distributed systems using Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or equivalent messaging platforms
• Strong experience with functional programming concepts and libraries such as Cats, Cats Effect, or ZIO
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL query development
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
• Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures and stream-processing systems
• Experience with microservice architectures and Agile software development environments
• Strong understanding of software architecture and solution design
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently drive complex technical initiatives

Будет плюсом:

• Experience with Java 17+/21, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, Flyway, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks; experience processing telemetry or event data at scale
