Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Jersey City, NJ, to contribute across the SDLC, design discussions, coding, testing, and production support. You will work with Scala and Java frameworks, RESTful APIs, and Akka to build scalable, high-quality software for banking, wealth management, and insurance sectors.

The role involves collaborating with global teams, documenting requirements, and delivering robust solutions while maintaining code quality and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Scala including functional programming concepts.
• Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, memory management and JVM tuning.
• RESTful APIs and microservices design.
• Experience with Akka and distributed systems.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience in Scala, including functional programming concepts such as immutability, higher-order functions, and collections.
• Experience in Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, collections, memory management, and JVM performance tuning.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Scala/Java frameworks.
• Experience with Akka, actor-based systems, and building resilient, high-throughput distributed applications.
• Strong communication and Analytical skills
• Ability to work in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

JERSEY CITY, NJ - $82419 to $126600

PENNINGTON, NJ - $76071 to $119836
