Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a Scaffold Technician to support erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding on commercial and industrial sites across ME, NH, and VT. You will work under the Foreman to ensure safe, efficient construction in alignment with OSHA standards.

The role involves loading and moving materials, working at heights, and collaborating with crews to meet project schedules while maintaining a clean, hazard-free site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of scaffolding experience.
• Knowledge of scaffold components, tools, and terminology.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling per specifications.
• Communicate with foremen and crew to support daily operations.
• Maintain a safe, organized worksite and adhere to OSHA standards.
• Assist with inventory tracking and material handling on-site and in the yard.
• Document time, materials, and work performed as required.

Job Summary

The Scaffold Technician supports scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities on commercial and industrial job sites throughout ME, NH, & VT. This role works under the direction of the Foreman and/or Supervisor to ensure scaffolding is built safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and crew members to support daily job site operations and follow direction related to job scope, sequencing, and expectations.
• Assist in relaying field conditions or issues that may impact safety, schedule, or productivity.
• Support the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems in accordance with design specifications.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, staging, and transporting scaffold materials.
• Assist with complex builds in urban environments, including high-rise and confined spaces.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Participate in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
• Handle scaffold materials, tools, and equipment safely and maintain proper organization on-site and in the yard.
• Assist with inventory tracking and ensure materials are properly stored and accounted for.
• Support basic job site documentation, including recording time, materials, and work performed as required.
• Work collaboratively with scaffold crews to meet productivity goals and project schedules.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of scaffolding experience required.
• Basic understanding of scaffold components, tools, and terminology.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights, and standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and challenging job site environments.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between ME, NH, VT job sites required.
• NYC SST Card (40-Hour) required in compliance with Local Law 196.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with fall protection principles and site safety practices.
