BrandSafway in Orange, TX is hiring a Scaffold Helper II to support Scaffold Carpenters and the Scaffold Leadman in erecting, modifying, inspecting, and dismantling scaffold systems on industrial construction and maintenance projects. • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability; commitment to safety.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Background checks and safety clearances preferred (as required).

Responsibilities

• Assist Scaffold Carpenters and the Scaffold Leadman with the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize scaffold materials, tools, and equipment.
• Hand materials and tools to scaffold builders during assembly and dismantling.
• Clean and prepare work areas to support scaffold construction activities.
• Inspect scaffold components for visible damage and report any defective materials.
• Maintain scaffold inventory and organize materials for efficient use.
• Follow directions from the Scaffold Leadman and Scaffold Carpenters to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and customer requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in daily safety meetings and report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately.
