Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a Scaffold Helper in Orlando to support scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling under foreman direction. You will follow OSHA standards and company safety policies while assisting with materials, transfers, and documentation on site.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of scaffolding experience, OSHA certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work at heights in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 6 months of scaffolding experience required.
• Basic understanding of scaffold components, tools, and terminology.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with foremen and crew to support daily site operations.
• Assist erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems.
• Load, unload, stage, and transport scaffold materials.
• Support complex builds in urban environments, including high-rise sites.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and follow safety standards.
• Record time, materials, and work performed as required.
• Collaborate with scaffold crews to meet productivity goals and schedules.

Job Summary

The Scaffold Helper supports scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities on commercial and industrial job sites throughout Orlando area. This role works under the direction of the Foreman and/or Supervisor to ensure scaffolding is built safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and crew members to support daily job site operations and follow direction related to job scope, sequencing, and expectations.
• Assist in relaying field conditions or issues that may impact safety, schedule, or productivity.
• Support the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems in accordance with design specifications.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, staging, and transporting scaffold materials.
• Assist with complex builds in urban environments, including high-rise and confined spaces.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Participate in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
• Handle scaffold materials, tools, and equipment safely and maintain proper organization on-site and in the yard.
• Assist with inventory tracking and ensure materials are properly stored and accounted for.
• Support basic job site documentation, including recording time, materials, and work performed as required.
• Work collaboratively with scaffold crews to meet productivity goals and project schedules.

Qualifications

• 6 months of scaffolding experience required.
• Basic understanding of scaffold components, tools, and terminology.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights, and standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and challenging job site environments.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel between job sites required.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with fall protection principles and site safety practices.
