Job summary

BrandSafway in Orlando is seeking a Scaffold Helper to support scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling on commercial and industrial sites. You will work under a Foreman or Supervisor to ensure safety and efficiency, complying with OSHA standards.

The role requires 6 months of scaffolding experience, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, working at heights, and a valid driver’s license. OSHA 10-Hour certification is required; 30-Hour is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 months of scaffolding experience required.
• Basic understanding of scaffold components, tools, and terminology.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights, and standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and challenging job site environments.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between job sites required.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with fall protection principles and site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and crew members to support daily job site operations.
• Assist in relaying field conditions or issues that may impact safety, schedule, or productivity.
• Support the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems in accordance with design specifications.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, staging, and transporting scaffold materials.
• Assist with complex builds in urban environments, including high-rise and confined spaces.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including proper use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Participate in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
• Handle scaffold materials, tools, and equipment safely and maintain proper organization on-site and in the yard.
• Assist with inventory tracking and ensure materials are properly stored and accounted for.
• Support basic job site documentation, including recording time, materials, and work performed as required.
• Work collaboratively with scaffold crews to meet productivity goals and project schedules.
