Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking skilled labor to build and dismantle wooden structures, scaffolds, and related supports in Louisiana. You will read sketches and blueprints and work with various hand tools to assemble formwork and scaffolding.

The role requires following safety rules, precise measurements, and teamwork under supervision. Prior field experience and reliable physical capability are beneficial for this on-site position.

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Under guidance and prescribed procedures; follows instructions.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsabilidades

• Examine, select, and gather materials and tools.
• Review blueprints and specs to determine dimensions.
• Inspect base surface for obstructions.
• Load, transport, and unload materials.
• Measure boards, timbers, or plywood; mark cut lines.
• Saw boards and plywood to required sizes.
• Use carpentry hand tools (hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills).
• Assemble scaffolds with handrails, braces, planks, etc.
• Brace forms for piers, footings, and walls.
• Secure scaffolding to structures and install ladders, walkways, and platforms.
• Set and brace anchor bolts; rig materials as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning on tools and equipment.
• Observe all safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.

Job Description

Builds, positions, and dismantles wooden structures, such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Examines, selects and gathers materials and tools.
• Examines blue prints and specifications to determine dimensions of structure.
• Inspect base surface for obstructions.
• Loads, transports and unloads material.
• Measures boards, timbers, or plywood, using square, measuring tape, and ruler, and marks cutting lines on materials using pencil and scriber.
• Saws boards and plywood panels to required sizes.
• Uses carpentry hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, screw drivers, adjustable wrenches, hand and power saws, drill motors and pry bars.
• Assembles scaffold containing handrails, mid rails, braces and planks, toe boards, screening, locking pins and wheels to job specifications.
• Braces forms in place with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts for use in building concrete piers, footings, and walls.
• Secures scaffolding to permanent structure by tying.
• Erects scaffolding for buildings and other structures and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Sets and braces anchor bolts.
• May rig materials.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tolls and equipment.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required
