Job Description Summary – Scaffold E&D Foreman

As a Scaffold E&D Foreman, you will design scaffold plans, coordinate material orders, manage documentation, and mentor scaffold carpenters. You will work closely with the E&D Foreman 2 and E&D Supervisor to ensure safe and efficient scaffold erection and dismantling.

Responsibilities

• Design various types of scaffolds and order materials as required.
• Prepare and maintain documentation—delivery/pick‑up tickets, time sheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, job safety analyses (JSAs), and scaffold inspection checklists.
• Mentor and coach Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenters, facilitating their development.
• Supervise crews and up to three Lead Carpenters during scaffold erection and dismantling.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA scaffold rules and regulations.
• Maintain safe work practices and enforce height‑safety standards.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as a Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter or comparable experience.
• Trade school training preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work safely at considerable heights.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong supervisory skills—manage crews and up to three Lead Carpenters.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations for scaffold safety.
• Comprehensive understanding of scaffold materials and load limitations.

Physical Demands

Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 40 pounds or more are required. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors.

Compensation
