Job summary

The Brock Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead craft crews at our Tampa, Florida location. The role involves close supervision of workers, enforcing safety, and ensuring work aligns with contract scope and client specifications.

You will direct loading, unloading, and storage of materials, manage equipment, and drive QA/QC across tasks. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in craft roles and at least 2+ years in supervisory positions, with strong communication skills and the ability to

Responsibilities

• Promote Brock’s safety culture and practices on site
• Supervise craft workers and coordinate tasks
• Conduct pre-job safety planning and toolbox talks
• Ensure work complies with contract scope, specs, and change orders
• Manage site logistics: loading/unloading, equipment, materials
• Maintain accurate time and material reporting, and QA/QC of work
• Mentor and develop crew, address performance and safety issues
• Inspect progress and ensure equipment is safe and properly used

A Foreman is responsible for the close supervision of craft workers. Engages in the same construction trades work as the workers they supervise as the need arises.

Responsibilities:

• Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafeand Bbestculture in all aspects of the business
• Perform pre-job safety planning (Job Hazard Analysis) for each work task and ensure that employees adhere to all safety rules
• Conduct all required crew meetings on a regularly scheduled basis
• Ensure employees are following all Brock, Contractor’s, and governmental safety requirements
• Understand scope of contract and change order process
• Ensure no out of scope work is performed without approved change order
• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with customer specifications
• Direct the loading, unloading and storage of all materials and equipment at the job site
• Ensure that all equipment on the job site is in safe and efficient working condition
• Responible for proper use and care for all Brock and Client facilities and equipment
• Performs Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) (including inspection and documentation) of the work
• Order equipment and supplies as needed and ensure that the proper equipment is being used for the specified tasks
• Estimate material and worker requirements to complete job
• Assign work to employees
• Keep up-to-date, accurate time records, and ensures that man-hours, materials and quantities are properly reported
• Suggest and initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and hires
• Manage and resolve personnel issues
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met
• Ensure workers are proficient in understanding Brock best practices
• Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety

• Ability to meet and maintain customer requirements for site access
• Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, shop locations, and office.
• Necessary Personal Protective Equipment is required.

Skills & Abilities:

Education & Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience in craft and / or
• 2+ years’ supervisory / leadership experience
